I'm really enjoying my new studio. I painted a larger painting yesterday that I'm quite pleased with, and a landscape from a California photo that got wiped. For some reason I'm inspired in my new space to do things I'm not used to - like paint different subject matter. I got some cityscape photos while I was in San Luis Obispo, and some photos of my son when we were camping. I haven't done a portrait in ages, but in my new space I feel like I can do anything. : ) I love it.

I can't believe what you can do with a few green apples! I guess a still life is just an excuse for a great design.....

love the greens with the background color.....I told you once you got in there the paint would start flyin!!!! You don´t wanna know what happens after you get the first spritz on the wall or "blob" on the floor....

Me again. I usually am not keen on 'pink' (pink/gray) but that nice backdrop seems to suck most of the red out of the foreground.
In re-reading this post it seems you went from fraidy-cat-painter to super-filbert!
I like your use of brush strokes. They seem to be placed quickly and without much thought but they are perfectly placed like you planned each one out precisely. I need to test those waters a little bit. My mind get's in the way.
I also enjoy the way you use color. It really brings it all together.

I love the color in these! Their happiness is contagious! I have been disciplining myself to to leave each brushstroke crisp as you do and find I see more life in my own paintings. Thank you!
