"Mixed Cups" - SOLD

I am trying out a new way of photographing my paintings, and as soon as I work out all the kinks I will write all about it. Until then I am getting a little more glare than usual I think. I didn't notice until just now.

This is awesome! I visit all the time, and love all your work, but I had to do a double take when I saw this one.

Yes, please share. I'm never sure what's the best apeture/exposure/distance/etc. to reduce lens distortion among other problems. Can't wait to hear what you've figured out.

Hi Carol,

First, this is yet another example of an entire painting class. Your skill at every aspect of this most challenging endeavor is impressive. May I also say your newly adopted philosophy of throttling back just a little can't hurt. Well...it may hurt your fans a little, but we'll adjust. Brava Carol!

This painting is awesome!! (I sound like a teenager - not of my generation, of course. Then it would be ...... oh, gosh I can't even remember!) The reflections are beautiful and your colors ...... well, it all speaks for itself. I LOVE it!

Love everything about this. Great shadows, particularly that dark gray on the top cup, and the highlights...oooooh, the highlights! Wonderful reflections. Like they way you kept the entire painting in a mono sort of palette. Just gorgeous!

This is another masterpiece, Carol! These cups are so palpable and the "space" that they occupy is so tangible. I dont' know how you do it, but it is simply amazing. Timeless, and beautiful!

This is a beautiful painting... the reflection is just so beautiful... I keep looking at it over and over and still cant get over it :)...
Right now, I dont stress myself with the quality of photos I take of my work... priority for me is to improve quality of my own work in the first place :|... but looking forward to your new method of taking photographs...

you are an inspiration as always...!

Your work is alway gorgeous,

Look forward to see what you find out about photographing work. I used a circular polarizer (didn't work on the extra shiny ones), got a linear polarizer (also didn't work on shinier ones), used both together, shiny spots and darker, aahgh! Good luck with yours!

Tolerance? Respect? Not cool! :(

Nice painting, Carol.

Oh Dear,
My apologies. I forget I'm global sometimes and that's a family 'thing' with us. No disrespect intended.
