"PDA" - SOLD

PDA, in case you aren't familiar with it, means Public Display of Affection. So the two cherries are stealing a kiss out in public and everyone is watching, probably jealous of their love.
Today I got back into the studio and am happy to report ... I remembered how to paint! I think the break I took was JUST what I needed. Towards the end of it I started getting ideas about what to paint, and that was really what was missing. Well, that and how to do it too. But it all came back in a whoosh. I will sleep happy tonight.

Carol,

I just want to tell you how much I respect your talent and tenacity as an artist. Every evening, almost like clockworks there is a lovely painting sent to my e-mail.

I have watched your blog since you started and you have created a fabulous visual history in your body of work.

I show my students your blog as an example of what talent, work ethic and goal setting can produce. They are always impressed.

I thought you might like to know.

Love this one - your choice of objects and composition say "PDA" big time. I remember in jr. high *now called middle school...if you were caught in a PDA - you were expelled for a day. Harsh...especially by today's standards. :D Paint on -

We all knew that you hadn't forgotten how to paint. I just think you needed a break! And these is something about the painting that just grabs me. The tall cylinders and the colors are stunning in this painting. welcome back!
