"Egg in Glass" - SOLD

I am finally over whatever it is I've had for almost 2 weeks! It started out like the flu and then turned into nerve tingles and pain, which was weird. I've learned something - if you google your symptoms, you can always convince yourself you've got something WAY worse than it most likely is!! It turns out this is something that's going around. I hope you don't get it. I'm off tomorrow for another workshop in the Hill Country.

This knocked me off my chair! The subtleties in the whites and the green/violet color harmony, Whoa.
You're back with a vengeance.
You're also right about the Google thing. Scary, every time.

Good to have kicked the cold, Carol.

Love the subtle color changes and yet interest you achieve in painting glass and egg shell. And the yolk...gorgeous.

Was it breakfast?

You always take great photos of your work. How do you do it? Natural light? Flood lamps at a 45 degree angle? If you could write a blog post on it, I would love to see it.

You amaze me. You take something as simple as an egg and turn it into a beautiful painting. Thanks for sharing and I am glad you are healthy again!

Thank you all!

Michael, I have a FAQ page for just that kind of question: http://www.bluecloudstudios.com/faq_painting.html

Brilliant! The glossy transparency of the yolk and albumin is amazingly done! Cheers!

Well look at you!!! I found your blog via Hill Country House. How cool are you to make these pretty little paintings! I'm jealous...in an appreciative "followed her dream" kind of way. ;-)

My oil painting instructor, Jerry Paints, used your broken eggs painting as a kick off for our class last night... we had to paint broken eggs in a bowl! AAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! I may be the only one who now does NOT like your painting, but only because it is so perfectly unable to be reproduced!

Beautiful painting. I always enjoy visiting to see your latest creation.

If you don't like Googleing your symptoms, you could try the book "The Hypocondriac's Guide to Horrible Diseases You Probably Already Have". I came across it recently and it is a hoot - well, the title is anyway.
