"Reflected Four" - SOLD

I found this bowl at the thrift store recently. I love the way it gives an alternate view of the plate of cherries - from above.

I realized today that half my work is coming up with the compositions in the first place. It's been slowly dawning on me, but it makes me feel so much better when it takes an hour to come up with something I like. I don't know why I ever thought it should be easy. Duh.

You're paintings have been "nourishing" me ever since I 'discovered' you. Delicious, zero calories- and oh, so satisfying...

Hi Carol
I love your recent compositions. They have changed, but I can't quite say how. Perhaps it is simply less apples? Your work continues to grow. I admire your ongoing tenacity to post daily and your openness in your writing. I have gone through the same mental wranglings about how long it takes to setup a composition. Once I let go of the time limit, I discovered how much fun it is.

That is why I enjoy your work sooo much,,,due to the excellent compostion. It is always interesting and very clever. I love your mix of edges and your just almost muted colors you stick in there....amazing and inspirational work. I love your blog.

Just catching up on all my blog inspirations, so this is a little late...

Composition is EVERYTHING to me. And it does my heart good to know that the struggles I face when trying to create the best composition with my chosen subjects are not mine alone. Wait, not that I'm glad it takes you time, just that it takes you time, TOO.

Anyway, cool composition!
