"Nesting Cups" - SOLD

I am getting a lot of mileage out of this orange silk scarf. It folds rather nicely, and I find it goes really well with blue shadows. I'm also really enjoying painting white things. Yesterday my very good buddy, Karen, for Christmas, gave me two beautiful little white salt and pepper shakers shaped like birds which I painted today and will post tomorrow.
As for my #1000 dilemna, I haven't decided for sure what to do, but I have gotten a lot of great ideas. I'll keep you "posted." : )

Beautiful!

I rarely leave comments here but I do visit your blog often. The best way that I can describe your work is "ZEN" for the simplicity and beauty. You seem to be able to always find beauty in the simple things in life. BTW, I just ordered your book and can't wait to get it in the mail. Happy holidays!

Me too. Particulary the hue colors.

This is certainly one of favorites. That big wonderful handle shape and, yes, a fine palette.

I am inspired to do a series of white on white! My Riverwalk at Night series(up to #17 now and have sold 14) have taught me much about color in the lower register so to speak. I think the high register of the white on white is a great teaching tool. I have a calendar out with my Riverwalk paintings for each month--a calendar with your still lifes would be fabulous--think about it!

I think that orange silk scarf makes an elegant addition to your fruits or stacks of things. You've painted its colors quite beautifully. Your books is fabulous, by the way; it's a Zen experience to pick it up and look through it on different days.

The way you play these colors off each other is mastery of color harmony. The slammin' rich color is killing me!
