Raymar Art (makers of the fabulous panels I use) has asked me to judge their
prestigious fine art competition for the month of August. They hold the contest every month, and at the end of the year all the finalists are judged again and could win quite a bit of cash!

Congrats! Great painting!
Hi Carol, Those three do look a little guilty. Have fun on the up coming vacation.
I really admire the discriptive nature of your brush work. They are concise and efficient. By the way, I just listed by first painting on Ebay using your workshop info. as a guide. Thanks for the help!
which panels by Raymar are your favorites? Congrats on judgeship-it's a difficult job. You have such clever titles to go with your gorgeous paintings.
Lucky THEM! Congratulations - you will do a great job! I LOVE this painting too, especially the subtle shifts in the shadows! Mmm Mmm! XOXOX
Thank you all so much!
Chris, I prefer the smooth cotton surface from Raymar. They have a sample pack you can order and try all 4 before you decide. They are a great little company.
Came across you blog a few days ago and its already a firm favorite.
Are the Raymar products only available online?
Happyjacqui- Thanks! Yes, Raymar panels are only available online.
Wow. Everything you've posted lately has been so lovely. I haven't been able to paint lately--too much time on the road--so I haven't even been checking your blog, because I knew it would drive me crazy!
Anyway, I'm back at it now. Hope you get out to northern CA for a workshop sometime--I'd love to take another one. Have a great time in Germany! Can't wait to see some more landscapes.
I've been following you for quite some time, your work is looking great. Nice job with the blog as well!
I visited the Wally Workman Gallery when vacationing near Austin in March and subscribed to their e-mail list. When I saw the announcement for your show, I checked out your work and have been following your blog since. I think your paintings just "sing" - the colors, the way you abstract things, your brush strokes - all filled with light and energy. Thanks for sharing your art daily. I'm sure you'll do a great job judging the art competition.
Congratulations, Carol! Seems like lots of good things are happening to you. You've worked hard for them.
