"Clown Egg" & workshop - SOLD

Last night my entire class took me out to dinner for my birthday. They made me wear a fancy crown (photos later) and feel like a princess! Thank you all for such a special evening!!

Yesterday we painted outside all day. I will post a photo of my landscape demo soon, and one from a student that I am trading for. Today we will be back in the studio again - it is supposed to rain all day today and tomorrow. Here is a photo of 2 of my kids painting - later they braved a hailstorm to get a final painting!

Love this little egg painting. The green you used to paint the shells is so interesting.

LOVE this egg painting! And I agree with Barbara about the green - it's so interesting, yet it works! Funny how it's "green", yet we still see "white". Great work as always!

Hi Carol,
Welcome to Canada and happy birthday! I REALLY love your work. Fresh and honest. Absolutely beautiful. I began daily painting in June and your blog and website are ones that I obsessively check and try to learn from ; ) I've got to figure out a way to get you to Ontario! Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Happy belated birthday, Carol!

Love the composition of the egg painting and the face it's making. Clever!

Beautiful job capturing the translucent, glossy quality of the egg whites too!

A really unique piece!

Carol, love this. My husband said to tell you that you made painting an egg look "overly easy." Ha. I love the egg--I never would have thought of trying that.

The painting are wonderful!
I'll bet all your friends in simmering TX are envious of your little trek to the fresh air of the North.

Yes, you make it look deceptively easy. I was trying to channel you today. Not so easy ;)
