"Olive Juice" - nfs & update

I have nothing to show so I thought I'd post the recent olive commission I did that prompted the one I posted a couple of days ago. The meds I'm on have really thrown my system out of whack - not to moan about it ... too much - I hope to paint again very soon.

Been there, Carol - spent DAYS in bed - didn't care if my kids ate or anything - those are STRONG medications - take the time you need to get well. Beautiful painting of the olives, though.... thank you for posting it!

Hang in there! I hate those meds too but they do work to clear the system. They also make me sleep less and once cleaned my house attic to basement. Is the studio ready to be roofed?
Your paintings are fantastic!

Predisone is the best and worst of meds all at once! Hope you feel better soon. These olive paintings couldn't be better--they look ready to be scooped out of the jar!

Hello Carol- Sorry to hear about your painful encounter. I hope you are doing much better. I bet you are just itching to get back... ( oops, scratch that last statement) ... sorry, I don't mean to rub it in,

Anyway get better soon,

Carol, Here's to you and here's a neat-o way to make good, dirty olives for your bar.

I discard the brine from jalapeno-stuffed olives and replace it with Lee and Perrins wooooshoostershire sauce. Let 'em steep for a few days...

We have excellent arrangements for visiting artist's workshops here in Key West; I will see you in Jacksonville but have asked the administrator there to take a look at your website.. Their venue is called the Studios of Key West (TSKW) and is in a fine old armory here. Maybe you could mosey this-a- way? DSM

Hi Carol;
I love your painting style, and the imaginative titles you give most of your paintings! I am also a still-life painter, and find titling to be very challenging. Great work!
P.S. A few years back I did a painting very similar to this except it was one of those tall skinny bottles: also great fun!

What an unusual subject matter. I'm sometimes a bit grossed out by green things in jars, I'd have never thought of painting something like this.

Best wishes for improved health. Prednisone is crummy stuff.

Awesome job on this one, Carol!

Of the two green olives paintings, I love this one the best. The colors are more natural looking and something about it just works for me.

Clever idea for the composition too. I never would've thought of using the entire jar like that.
