"Three on Blue" - SOLD
I am back from Carmel, and while I'm glad to be home I will miss (for now) the absolutely AMAZING beauty of the place and the new friends I made while there! Here are 2 photos from down on the beach. In the second one you can see a bit of the famous pebble beach golf course above the dog walkers.
And here are two photos of my kids hard at work. Most of them live in or around Carmel and when I asked them where they go for vacation they said "we don't." Well, I asked one or two. But why would you go anywhere when you live in such a beautiful place? I hope to return next year and do some plein air.

Beautiful! Glad to have you back.
Carol, beautiful painting, as always! Glad to hear that you enjoyed Carmel. I agree, it's very beautiful there! Walking on the beach is my idea of heaven! In the meantime, it's wonderful having you back!
Carol, you have some very nice work. I'm so happy I found your blog.
We missed your wonderful paintings. Glad you had a good time!
Paleez come to Maine in the summer to teach!!
It's a really awesome looking local. The way most of the folks there are dressed, they don't have global warming problems. You should see about going to Maine, your whole family could have a blast while you teach.
Lovely painting and the photos of the class are instructive. I have to ask, are these clementines? (Or is it just that I have struggled with them that they look that way to me?) Very nicely done! I am ready to pluck one out of the painting and start peeling it.
Thanks you guys!!! It is good to be back and painting in my studio ... though I will soon be off again, to MA.
Bobbi, the oranges today ARE the little ones ... I think clementines. I did a horrible demo of them during my workshop and wanted to redeem myself. : )
Carol: We were on Carmel beach in October...I loved it. I can't imagine being in Carmel and taking your workshop...what a fabulous experience that would of been. I am jealous....Kay
Carmel is extraordinary. Glad you enjoyed it. If you ever go back, don't miss Robinson Jeffers' house. It's one of those things where you think, "oh a house tour of a dead poet. Bor-ing!" But trust me, you'll be blown away at how this poet lived & connected with his community of artists.
