"Looking Up"

This started out as a challenge to myself. I wanted to see if I could do a high key, mostly white painting with relatively few strokes - all deliberate. I ended up getting a little more fussy than I wanted, but I really like the result.

I love it! There is always something fun about your work that is so appealing. You are so versatile, Carol. And your deliberateness (is there such a word?) and tenacity really pay off. Thanks for another real treat!

Carol,
I love this painting. I think you need to do a workshop just on painting glass. For me, recognizing all the colors in the glass and its reflections is such a challenging.

Really lovely, Carol.
I like the way the shadow is warm with that touch of cool behind the jar and the bright white reflection on the wall. You make painting glass look so easy...just a few bright spots and you've done it again! I also love the sweetness of the small leafless flower. That stark element gives it an etherealness that is quite beautiful.
