Green and purple - one of my all time favorite color combinations. And in reference to yesterday's post, purple is my dominant color. And for all my kids, my value composition is mid: dominant - dark: secondary - light: smidge. ; )
Wow that green is luscious! It really springs right of the page - maybe because the purple is a duller purple, and supports it but doesn't compete with it?

Fabulous paintings!!! I love the colors,composition,everything about it :) I have been looking everywhere for a tripod I could use for my shadow box. Where did you get yours,and what brand? If you could give me some extra info on this, I would be forever greatful!! Thanks!
Wow, thanks you guys! Sarah, I got my tripod at Home Depot. It originally had some hefty work lights mounted on top, and we bought it for that. But then I comandeered it for my shadow box and that's the end of the story. : )

How can purple be the dominant color in this painting when the greens are much more intense?
Maybe I misinterpreted what you meant??? Or maybe I have to brush up on my color theory? *embarrassed*
