"In Line for the Tub"

Green and purple - one of my all time favorite color combinations. And in reference to yesterday's post, purple is my dominant color. And for all my kids, my value composition is mid: dominant - dark: secondary - light: smidge. ; )

You forgot to add a dash of magic!

Strong composition in this! My eye keeps going around and around all the elements.

I just love all the visible brush strokes.

Wow that green is luscious! It really springs right of the page - maybe because the purple is a duller purple, and supports it but doesn't compete with it?

Carol-This painting does it for me. I love it. I can feel the peppers come out towards me and I just want to pick that bowl up. I hope I get a chance to bid on this one. Thanks for adding the most, some and a smidge comment. It is such a great guideline. You always keep sharing your tool box. Thanks!

The color combination in this artwork just rules!

But I'm a bit confused, Carol.

How can purple be the dominant color in this painting when the greens are much more intense?

Maybe I misinterpreted what you meant??? Or maybe I have to brush up on my color theory? *embarrassed*

Looks like there's a spring welling up in the baby bowl.
Really nice 'solid' water and the slip over the rim. You got me; I signed up for Jacksonville Oct.

Fabulous paintings!!! I love the colors, composition, everything about it :)
I have been looking everywhere for a tripod I could use for my shadow box. Where did you get yours, and what brand? If you could give me some extra info on this, I would be forever greatful!! Thanks!

Wow, thanks you guys! Sarah, I got my tripod at Home Depot. It originally had some hefty work lights mounted on top, and we bought it for that. But then I comandeered it for my shadow box and that's the end of the story. : )
