"Apples at Sea" - SOLD

I suppose if these apples were really at sea they would be walking on water. But we'll leave that topic for later. More importantly, I just found out I have been accepted into the Salon International show again this year with the 20x20in painting below! This always spectacular exhibit will be at the Greenhouse Gallery in San Antonio, TX in April. I will post more about it later. Also, I was featured on Hill Country House recenlty and got a very favourable review. So many great things happening - no time for anything. If you've emailed me recently and I haven't responded, please understand that while I would like nothing more than to respond to every single email, with the move and all, I am way behind. Thank you ALL for your nice comments!

Congratulations, Carol! SI at the Greenhouse is always such a neat gathering/event. And the post on HCH blog is great, too. It's so fun to watch your success. Apple Soup is incredible!

Congratulations. That's a nice submission. The apples look like they are wading into Cancun waters.

Congrats and hello: Found your blog by way of Dianne Mize's blog which I follow regularly. Little did I know we are gallery mates at Riverbend Fine Arts so I went to their website to see what you have in the gallery. Great stuff! I too am in the Salon show this year so I will be sure to find your piece when I go to the show.

I will be signing up for a daily email from you. Look forward to it.

Carol!

I've been watching your blog for a short while now and here's my first comment on your work!

I love the composition on this one. Your work really shines when you do larger pieces IMHO.

Like the use of colors and the still life itself has a very "lived in feel" with the papers slightly scattered on the lower left. It feels natural and not contrived.

Keep it up!
