I admit this was a quickie. It took me about 30 minutes. I worked all day on a large painting and I had just 30 minutes before my sitter left and nothing to post otherwise.
MUCHO Thanks to all of you who gave me title suggestions for yesterday's larger painting. It was really hard to choose, but I'm going with "Waiting in the Wings." I also really liked "Orange Potions" and "Some Looked On While Others Fell!" Every single one of them made me smile, so thank you! Below is today's larger painting. I'm calling it "One Misplaced Grape" (again, not a great photo, but REALLY fun to paint).

I just love that large painting, my eyes bounce around between all the reflected surfaces and that single grape. Very successful!
love the wet looking table surface...the grapes look real enough to eat!
oh my, the reflections in these paintings are so great carol. really really spectacular!
One Misplaced Grape.... wow. Just wow. I always love the way you use colors, but with all of the reflections and beautiful greys added in that is just an incredible piece.
Funny how some paintings just 'flow' out of us - and this 'quickie' sounds like one of them! And it isn't a simple painting, either. This one is fantastic. So interesting, so much to look at, too! Your larger piece is beautiful, too, really rich.
Hey Carol,
How does one do a oil painting in 30 minutes? An oil painter myself it might take me two days.
Beautiful--a beautiful composition. I love the cast shadow on the apple slice and the cap! The colors and reflections on it are amazing.
Everything just glows!!! I'm really drawn to the reflections.I reallllyyyy love it!!!!!!
both pieces are beautiful.
Really fresh and dynamite composition with reflection Carol! Nice to see it with the larger one...always compelling.
Exquisite work, Carol!! The reflections, the composition, everything is super!!
