"A Regular Day" - SOLD

I try really hard to come up with new stuff every day ... or at least a good variety. But sometimes I end up falling back into my comfort zone of old, familiar compositions. I think this is probably something most artists struggle with. Right now my life is so busy with things other than painting. I have a feeling I'll be able to branch out more when my son starts going to school and I have more time, even if it's time just sitting around thinking. You know?

Do you give more elaborate comment regarding your favorite brushes (beyond April and May 08 comments)?

Secondly-is there anywhere you comment or advise on how you photograph your artwork for posting?

Your work is such a pleasure to view.

Carol,
You should be proud of this a beautiful painting. Interesting color and paint application. An idea came to mind, what if you FIRST picked a title and then found something to paint that went with the title? I'm sure you've thought of that. I've been thinking about doing that FOREVER and never have.

Your days will most definitely free up when your son goes to school, Carol. It seems to take forever for kids to grow more independent, but when it happens, your art career will soar!
Besides your "regular stuff" is amazing, you are so gifted!

Wow. I totally love this. I love the colors, I love the composition (that gray at an angle, with the orange/gold circles on top....)....

Wow.

Wow.

And -- preschool is good. :-) Kids get a chance to socialize with other kids, and some other adult gets to think of enriching activities (and set up the activities, and clean up after the activities)............

My kid started to go at 3.5. We started her at three half-days a week (the minimum the place allowed), and immediately she wanted to stay all day. (Boring at our house, I guess!)

Alone time for mom -- a very good thing!
