"Cooped Up" --- SOLD

I got these cool peppers in the last batch from the organic farm we get veggies from. They have oodles of personality. I love them.

My husband has been in Houston the past couple of days which leaves me a bit cooped up in the house, with a 3 yr old. I love him to death but he's driving me batty! So that's him inside the cup, in time out, and that's me, outside the cup, trying my hardest to be patient. : )

I just realized this painting, "Family Matters," was never paid for by the winning bidder (this is why I need a tracking system!). I contacted the winner and she is no longer interested. There were other bidders but because it's been longer than 60 days Ebay won't let me contact them. If you bid on this painting and would like it, please let me know. Thanks!

I know how you feel. Being a parent (Mom) is the hardest decision an artist has to make.
I don't know how you do it. Juggling everything.
Mines all grown now , so I'm back to painting full time, but now I'm old!!
Recently my biggest challenge has been trying to do these little ones and still find the time to paint the large finished pieces. I want to do both!
I suppose I must either learn to paint faster or in my sleep.
Cheers!

I know exactly what you mean about being cooped up with a toddler all while trying to be patient, paint and run a business! Mine started pre-school part-time this year and it's been really great for both of us.

How the painting relates to what's going on in your house is fun to read about.

For some reason I never got this post in my mailbox! I love the sense of humor in the daily painting! Yeah, anyone with a 3 year old can understand the need for patience (and a time-out cup!). They can be wonderful, AND infuriating. What I know now that I didn't know then is that being loving is more important than being in control. I am going to be a great grandmother, if it ever happens!

This painting is beautiful Carol. I haven't read the whole story behind it, but looking at it is a joy in itself. I like the variety of colors -- especially the blue mug & the way the red of the tomato interacts with it. (You have another fan!)
