This is a variety of peppers from our farm share deal here in Austin. Yes, I am back from Santa Fe and back to painting. And I am on a pepper roll. Hmmm ... pepper roll, that sounds spicy. : )
Yes, Carol, this could be a 'lesson' in reflected light! What a great piece - you do jump right in once you get home, don't you? To everyone who comments on how much you love Carol's work - you should take her workshop! These paintings are very deceptively simple - so much 'foundation' goes into them. Her workshop is chock full of really useful information - if you want to improve your art work - sign up early, they fill up quick!

Awesome reflected light! That yellow pepper just sings, and I love the hint of gold on the green jalapeno. Beautiful!

Beautiful, I love the composition on this one!
And Kelley is right: Carol's workshops are well-organized, very focused and tons of fun!
beautifully done, and I enjoyed "Pepper Party" very much also, esp. the turquoise plate against the pepper colors and highlights.
Wonderful!!
Peppers are so paintable. Beautiful shapes and colors. No one does them like you though.
You OWN peppers! haha ;)
PS
I'm taking Carol's Jacksonville workshop in March and it's going to be fabulous!
Glad you are back. The peppers are really on a roll and looking good.
