"Chain Gang" --- SOLD

Still having trouble with my computer, hence not posting yesterday.

Check out Daily Paintworks for today. We decided to have a Tomato Tuesday and (almost) everyone painted and posted tomatoes today. It's really interesting to see what everyone came up with.

I've gotten a lot of emails from people saying they can no longer view my demo. If you go to Daily Paintworks and click on "videos" at the top of the page, you'll see 5 demos by our members, including mine. I plan to do another one after I get back from Germany.

You won't believe this, and I'm sure nobody cares, but I bought tomatoes just like this today - thinking I would paint them (no lie!), but I got busy with the unloading of groceries, then got carried away with making a complicated cobb salad (had to talk myself out of cutting the tomatoes - they smelled like I'd plucked them off the vine myself), then came the cleaning up and interacting with my family, etc. I didn't paint the tomatoes, but now I feel that I must do it tomorrow. I'll try to come up with a unique composition, but it's going to be a challenge after seeing your cosmic coincidental creations!

This is definitely the branch of tomatoes I would select from the table at farmer's market.

Wishing you a fabulous trip to Germany. What an exciting adventure. Will look forward to the recap.

These are some yummy tomatoes. Have fun on your trip. My bags didn't make it back to Texas with me. Had 16 paintings packed inside.
But I did have a lobster sandwitch made by mom though.

I have been watching your blog for some time. Thank you for sharing your techniques and set ups for painting: they have been helpful to a novice like me. Particularly like your confident brush strokes and fearlessness of oil paint.... a major weakness of mine.
