"Texas Wildflower" --- SOLD

These yellow flowers seems to thrive on the Texas heat and really get going during the summer when it regularly tops 100 degrees!

I am going camping this weekend with my family (in our air conditioned pop-up - so we won't die in the heat!). It is coming at just the right moment as I need a break from painting. I've been pushing myself too hard again. So ... toodles until Monday.

The drama on this one is just wonderful. Who would think you could get that with one flower. Qiang Haung and I discussed that one day when we where painting together about drama in petals. Great job.

Lovely piece; I esp. like the simplicity and drama of the warm colors against the dark background. As usual, I'm amazed how much you can get in your painting with such wonderful economy of brushstroke.

Have a great time on your camping trip! Hot weather sounds great to me because we are just starting to warm up here in north Idaho. We had fresh snow a couple of days ago!
