"Just a Pear 3" --- SOLD

The Salon show was wonderful, as usual! I got to meet Darcie Peet, a hero of mine, who's painting was hung right next to mine - argh! I had a lovely time painting with my PAA pals this morning at La Villita in San Antonio. I did a couple of wipers, unfortunately, but while I was painting a couple came up to me to ask what I was painting. It turned out to be George Hallmark (and wife), the judge for the salon show! What a strange coincidence. And wouldn't you know I had just run out of cards. Argh. Thank you to Susan Carlin who put me up for the night, and her family who put UP with me! And thank you to my family & friends who came out to support me!

Here's my third pear of the series. It's one of my favorites.

If the same buyer bought all three of these, they would make a nice trio on the wall, with the first one in the middle between the two with green backgrounds......

Hi Carol,
Just a Pear 1&2&3...you captured the "plumpness". Thanks so much for adding Peets link..I had not seen her work. Love her desert landscapes! Congrats on your salon exhibit. Peet is lucky to be hanging next to your work!

I really like the odd mix of colors. The yellow green of the pear and the pink teal of the background.

Yeah, this is my favorite of the three too.

I like this one the best of the three as well. I was hoping to get a plein air out of you this week, oh well.
Love the Swiss Cheese and Grapes painting at the Salon Show. Glad you sold it!

Sounding hopelessly un-original now but I just love the colors in this version with that little shock of pink next to the turq. This is my favorite too!
So soft but perky at the same time.
What a wonderful series.
Your work is a great inspiration of brushstroke/color/light relationships.

These pears are great and fun. La Villita is a great place to paint. Add in Susan now and that makes it really special, huh?
