I've Been Tagged

Bear with me. I've been asked to expose some "things" about myself. Frank Gardner tagged me - thanks a lot Frank! ; )

Here are the rules: 1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog. 2. Share 5 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird. 3. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as wellas links to their blogs. 4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Here goes. 1. I grew up in a dome house with no indoor toilet - just an outhouse. 2. I graduated from HS in a class of 18 - not a private school, just small. 3. My husband, David, was adopted from Germany. 4. My son, Jacob, was adopted here in Austin, TX. 5. I'm a felon. : )

I'm tagging you: Bernard Garcia, Sharman Owings, Brendy Vaughn, Jennifer Bellinger, and Kim Edge. Have fun!

Hi Carol, Who has time for this tagging stuff? Me do! Thanks for tagging me. I did have a moment of dread at following all the rules, but glad I did as I have met two fellow art bloggers so far. I loved the large 15x15 still life you posted, and the energy you get into your apples is exciting to see and admire!
Happy Holiday, Jennifer

Okay, Carol. I'll pretend I am not interested and act as though it wasn't mentioned. Whaaaaat? ??

Re: cleaning brushes. I haven't cleaned a brush in a loonnng time. I keep a jar (with screw on lid) half full of baby oil in the studio..... when I am finished painting, I rinse the brushes out in OMS, then a thorough rinse out in the baby oil. I have NEVER washed the brushes. They stay soft and free of any junk collecting at the ferrule. Some haven't been used for months and they are still soft. A quick rinse in OMS before painting and the brush is ready to rock. No bother!

Still pretending. ;-)

To make a long story short - I was a goody-two-shoes my whole life. Never did a thing wrong. When I was 17, just before college, in the very small town where I grew up, I was invited to hang out with a couple of people late at night. The guy had a car, and he thought it would be real funny if he ran over some mailboxes. So he did. And some street signs. And we went to a local "haunted house" that was locked, and he used a crowbar to knock a padlock off the door (my friend put the lock in her pocket - this is important) - we walked around and left. He took us home. Well, it turns out the license plate on his car fell off - that's how they caught us. I was charged with 2 felonies: burglary of a building and criminal mischief. I was on probation for 5 years, paid $10,000 in restitution, and did 150 hrs of communtiy service. And that's how I'm a felon. : )
