"Ranch Truck"

I'm going out on a limb here and posting a landscape. I guess you could say they're not my forte...but I try anyway. I belong to Plein Air Austin, and today our group went to this nice ranch near Kyle, Texas. It was very cold and would have been miserable except I was sharing the experience with all my lovely painting buddies. This is not for sale.

Well as somebody who does landscapes on a regular basis I think you're doing just fine.

It does take time to get accustomed to looking at a completely different space and set of objects and not everybody adjusts to the fact that the light (and the colour and the values) is apt to change - but once you're hooked, that's it.

I'm looking forward to the next one - I don't see any reason why plein air painting shouldn't become another string to your bow - as it were!
