"In Line" --- SOLD

Don't these nectarines appear to be waiting in line? I hate waiting, and avoid it at all costs. If I go out to dinner I go early or late or to the less popular restaurants. I go to the grocery store in the morning during the week to avoid the crowds. The only waiting I can't avoid is in the doctor's office, so I always bring a book. Otherwise, what a waste of time. Argh. What a grump I am today.

Look out your window, walk through your door, there's a whole world out there that's begging to be painted.

Anonymous,

Please tell me why you are so concerned with Carol's subject matter?

If you don't like it, simply don't look at it.

I think, if I understand correctly, these paintings are studies for Carol. Because of this, they are often in series of the same subject.

Finally, please don't hide behind anonymous. It is more honest and friendlier, especially when posting criticism, to use your real name.

Anonymous,

One last important point. Carol is also taking care of our very active 20 month old son. For this reason, going out the door is not as simple as you imagine. ;-)

Dear David
What your wife is doing is great, being a father myself, I know how it can get pretty hectic looking after little ones sometimes. I appreciatte that your wife takes the time to paint, I have learned a lot just by looking at the compositions and use of light in the shadows and it's some solid work.
Thankyou Carol

Very beautiful. The nectarines look so juicy. I like how you grayed your background colors. This compliments the tones of the fruit very well.
