It is certainly safer (I assume) than oils. I just can't stand the drying time. : )Carol Marinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00855632528757673268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34529982.post-47659985473182334822008-05-18T15:51:00.000-07:002008-05-18T15:51:00.000-07:00Hi Carol.I have been checking out your blog for a ...Hi Carol.

I have been checking out your blog for a few weeks now since I discovered "Daily Painters". I admire many of artists but especially admire your work. Your free technique, colour and composition are everything I aspire to. I wish I lived close enough to attend your workshops.

After "dabbling" for years (I attended art school MANY years ago) I have decided to take myself seriously as an artist and am inspired by the daily painting concept. I do my best to complete something every day. I use acrylics and don't come across many artists who use them. What do you or any of your other fans think of this medium?

Thanks for sharing your work!Georginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15069035146593490338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34529982.post-19228224252445426432008-05-16T08:38:00.000-07:002008-05-16T08:38:00.000-07:00Jeanne - I was lucky enough to be a student in Car...Jeanne - I was lucky enough to be a student in Carol's first Santa Fe workshop and I envy the wonderful experience I know you're having this week. Isn't the space great? And, Carol, what can a person say? Not only is she a truly talented artist but also an incredible teacher. Her drive and motivation just blew my mind. I wish you the best - keep having a great time.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06002238433161397308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34529982.post-59452386307126778872008-05-15T17:21:00.000-07:002008-05-15T17:21:00.000-07:00Jeanne- that's a lovely comment to leave and one t...Jeanne- that's a lovely comment to leave and one that makes me wish I could be there to see what you're experiencing.
How lucky to be learning from such an extremely talented and wonderful person.

All of her readers are eager to see what gets posted next.
Paint and learn for me too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34529982.post-59300775661994056582008-05-14T21:11:00.000-07:002008-05-14T21:11:00.000-07:00I'm one of Carol's students in the Santa Fe class....I'm one of Carol's students in the Santa Fe class.I can tell those of you who follow this extraordinary young woman what a true pleasure it is to watch her paint. If I did nothing else in the class, to be able to look over her shoulder as she lays down each stroke has been a career changing experience, and I've made my living as a working artist for 35 years. If you can get to one of her workshops, you'll be transformed by her talent, her grace while painting and her delightful charm.JEANNE BAUERhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12374486845079505078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34529982.post-67087888191573285002008-05-14T17:26:00.000-07:002008-05-14T17:26:00.000-07:00Looks like you guys are having loads of fun in the...Looks like you guys are having loads of fun in the workshop. I find that pinks are difficult to work with, but as usual, you have it bang on.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
