Don't Eat the Mushrooms

This is a study of a spot about 40 minutes (hiking uphill) from our base camp (in the Sierra's). There was something about the minerals in the water (just below a glacier?) that made the rocks under water this lovely red color, and the sediment at the bottom a kind of turquoise. Such a fun study in compliments!

This series of paintings from your eventful trip has been fascinating to see, Carol. It's just as interesting seeing you and your friends in painting action.
