"Sunflower Dots" --- SOLD

My friend Dani asked me today if she could come over and watch me paint, so this was really a demo peice. I learned ... that I should really pick a simpler subject when I give a demo. This was a tough one, and I struggled with painting it and talking about it as I went. But, it was good practice, and from her questions I got some new ideas for things I can teach in my workshop. Thanks, Dani. My workshop in Santa Fe starts a week from Monday, and I'm super excited about it!

Lucky Dani!

I love it! I can see how it would be hard to demo. (heck, it would be challenging to me even if I wasn't talking to someone!)

We're jealous! Next time Dani gets a private demo, ask her to videotape it for YouTube so we can all watch you in action! I bet you're a great demonstrator. The blue-green dots really animate the surface, and the distortion of 'em through the glass is delightful! Thanks so much for sharing your work with us. It really makes my day!

I'd just like to second the vote for a youtube video. Doesn't have to be anythign fancy, but I'd love to just watch the process. Just hoping. I used to love watching the Duane Keiser videos.

Hey, I love it - short videos of Carol painting. And, I have to admit I was very jealous of Dani - what a lucky girl. I'm getting more excited each day as Monday Sept 10th draws nearer. :o)

Ha! It's nice to be the source of all this envy. It was a pleasure and I can't imagine painting a beautiful picture like this while chatting and answering questions. I'm glad you didn't pick something simpler because it might not have been as interesting to watch and it turned out lovely despite my yammering anyway. I'd be happy to do it again and videotape if you'd like.

I love it when you use polka dots. Seriously. They make me smile.
